Huh. That sounds pretty awesome. What kind of boat did you guys sail around in?

[ Gonna slowly curl an arm around Malcolm's waist and just settle there, tucked close and cozy. ]

Oh, I don't even remember anymore. Probably just a sloop, a very common sailboat. More than enough room for the three of us.

I can honestly say I've never been sailing. What's it like?

Well, it's...I'm not sure how to describe it to someone who's never been. It's sailing. It's letting the wind power your boat? So it's very...breezy and active so you don't go running ashore or into anyone.

I'd say we should go sometime but I don't think that can be a thing here. [ No access to an ocean. No boats. Still it's a nice thought, watching Mal run around manning the ship. It must be twice as simple and four times as complicated as running a space ship. ] You know what, Mal?

...No, I don't think so. [He's not even thinking of the lack of proper sailing water, he's just thinking of how horrifyingly frightened he'd be]

[Also fine!] I just mean that when it comes to me making you happy, it doesn't take much of anything. Must be like pulling teeth, getting anything out of me.

I think I'm figuring it out. Sailing. Naval history. Black tea. Competent and not impulsive choices in missions. Taking your background into consideration for the suit got me points. [ Jaw > throat? Jaw throat. Little dry pecks of a kiss. ]

[ Now's as good a time as any to lean back and Tug mal with him. It's not hard. It could be harder but he's shorter, lighter, not near as broad. He tries to make it not so much manhandling as a smooth transition from sitting next to each other to having Malcolm in his lap, hands carefully on his waist and not his hips or anything particularly provocative.

[That is definitely a confused noise when he's physically moved around, and now he's in York's lap?? His hands brace on York's chest, and the bewildered look is back. He consciously moves his seat more toward York's knees.]

[ Point in fact the hands that were on Malcolm's waist drop down to no be touching him at all. ]

[He settles and sags a little, still seated farther back, hands still on chest but somewhat more relaxed. Cautious relaxation.]

Holding you? Cuddling. I didn't think you'd take well to being the little spoon so this was kind of the alternative.
