i can't believe i'm actually the one saying this and i sort of dislike you for making me point it out but there's probably more to what happened than literally just what happened

i never got a conclusive answer on specifically what reason he called me for, actually, considering my main questions were 'do you want me to talk to him', 'are you gonna talk to him', and 'what am i supposed to do here' and the answer to all of them seemed to be 'no'. doesn't work as well for the last one, but i'm certainly not going to be the only person who gets spoken to so

We're going to figure it out. It just need some time. We can't just jump immediately into everything.

most people do tend to want immediate replies to declarations of feelings. they're sort of like an ultimatum without all the social stigma of actually making an ultimatum, since ~how romantic and brave, springing feelings on people

Maybe it's because I already knew how he felt, that it's not a surprise how he feels but that he said it at all. Like I've already had time to sort out how to feel about it. It's not really the same.

I told him I was straight; I'm pretty sure he doesn't expect anything, and the fact that anything was even the remotest of possibilities surprised him. I don't know. We were coasting along a little awkwardly before this point.

well i'd say not expecting something homoerotic from someone who just said 'no homo' is probably a reasonable reaction. might even say that it makes sense. was it like, a romantic declaration or more the fourth act movie type 'i have to express myself even though i know the script' thing?
